The PCA Benevolent Fund allows Michael to put something back into the game he loves. The fund is part of the PCA's on-going commitment in helping current and former players and their dependants in times of hardship, upheaval or to readjust to the world beyond the game. Part of the funds work is to contribute to players and their families who have accidents or major illnesses.

Michael's fellow Artballing director Guy Brown, was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of only 42.
